Our top tips for the best homemade iced coffee
Make iced cubes out of coffee for an even more flavourful drink
Ice cubes are a wonderful trick when you want your coffee nice and cold. But they can dilute your drink as they begin to melt. Luckily, there is a way to avoid this: make your ice cubes out of coffee instead of water. Just add room-temperature coffee to the ice cube tray and wait for them to freeze completely before adding them to your drink.
Use a blender to mix all the ingredients easily
You can make iced coffee at home with the help of a blender too. Add the coffee, iced cubes, milk and syrup in a blender and whizz up the perfect iced drink.
Melt the sugar in the hot coffee first
Sugar dissolves easier at hot temperatures. So, if you want to use sugar for your iced coffee, make sure you add it to the hot coffee first, before letting it cool off to room temperature.
What is the difference between iced coffee and cold brew?
The difference between iced coffee and cold brews is in the way the coffee is brewed. While cold brews are created by steeping coffee beans in cold water, iced coffee drinks are made by brewing coffee at hot temperatures and letting it cool off before pouring it on top of ice.
